She made her solo debut at the age of 11 with Ballet Clásico de Zaragoza and, at just 13 years old, joined Ballet Nacional de España Clásico, where she was promoted to Principal Dancer in 1985. That same year, she won First Prize at the Eurovision Young Dancers Competition in Reggio Emilia and, one year later, received the Gold Medal Grand Prix, the Fradkof Prize, and the Evian Prize at the International Dance Competition Villa de Paris, alongside Antonio Castilla. She was invited by Alicia Alonso to participate in the 10th International Ballet Festival of Havana. In 1991, she was appointed Principal Dancer at the Berlin Opera and, in 1994, joined the Royal Danish Ballet, expanding her repertoire with works by August Bournonville. After retiring from the stage in 1996, she was appointed Artistic Director of Ballet de Zaragoza. She has been a guest teacher with companies such as La Scala in Milan and the National Dance Company of Spain. She currently directs her own dance center in Zaragoza and teaches classical ballet at the Wiener Staatsoper Ballettakademie in Vienna.
