During her stay, Serena had the opportunity to attend classes and observe rehearsals with the Nuremberg Ballet, becoming immersed in the working environment of one of Germany’s leading contemporary dance companies. Accompanied by teacher Elisa Romero, she experienced an artistically intensive and highly formative programme from the very first day.

After her first class and attending several rehearsals, Serena and her teacher went to see Shechter/Montero at the Staatstheater Nürnberg, home of the company, giving them the opportunity to experience the stage work in its professional context.

We would especially like to thank Goyo Montero, Director of the Staatstheater Nürnberg, for his warm welcome and dedication to enriching our stay in Germany, offering our student the opportunity to learn within an institution recognised as one of the country’s leading centres for contemporary dance.

Serena’s experience was highly enriching, both artistically and personally. Placements such as this, carried out within the Erasmus+ programme, enable us to broaden horizons and complement our students’ education with international experiences of significant cultural value.
