The stay was organised in collaboration with the Izmir State Opera and Ballet, where our students benefited from an enriching artistic experience under the stage direction and choreography of Carlos Vilán. They took part in rehearsals for the ballet Carmen, gaining first-hand insight into the process of staging a large-scale production.

One of the highlights of the experience was attending a performance of Carmen by the Izmir Ballet, with music by Georges Bizet, at the iconic ancient Theatre of Ephesus.

We would also like to highlight the participation of Jan Gálvez, who is currently involved in an international Spanish Dance project. During the stay, a fragment of Sonata y Danza, a choreography created for him by Rubén Olmo, Director of the Ballet Nacional de España, was presented, showcasing a high level of technical and artistic performance.

Our students also gave a dance presentation for Carlos Vilán, performing several choreographies that stood out for their technique, expressiveness and stylistic precision.
