A dancer and choreographer, former Director of the Ballet Nacional de España (2011–2019) and founder of his own company in 2002, he has extensive training in all styles of Spanish Dance, classical ballet and contemporary dance. He has created and directed major international productions and choreographed for leading figure skaters, including Olympic and gold medallists, as well as collaborating with prominent companies and theatres around the world. Awarded the Gold Medal of Merit in the Fine Arts in 2023, he is now one of the leading international ambassadors of contemporary Spanish Dance.
